Keep Eyes Healthy By These 15 Eye Exercises


 

Here are 15 eye exercises to help reduce eye strain, improve focusing ability, and maintain overall eye health:

  1. Near-Far Focus:

  2. Hold your thumb about 10 inches in front of your face and focus on it. Then, focus on an object about 10-20 feet away. Alternate between focusing on your thumb and the distant object for several repetitions.

  3. Palming:

  4. Rub your palms together to generate heat, then cup them over your closed eyes without applying pressure. Relax and breathe deeply for a few minutes while visualizing darkness.

  5. Eye Rolling:

  6. Slowly roll your eyes in a clockwise direction for a few rotations, then switch to counterclockwise rotations. Repeat several times.

  7. Figure 8:

  8. Imagine a large figure 8 in front of you. Trace the shape of the figure 8 with your eyes, moving horizontally and vertically. Repeat several times in both directions.

  9. Blinking:

  2. Hold a pen or pencil at arm's length and focus on the tip. Slowly bring the pen closer to your nose, keeping it in focus. Then, slowly move it back to arm's length. Repeat several times.

  3. Eye Yoga:

  4. Close your eyes and gently massage your temples in a circular motion using your fingertips. Then, place your palms over your eyes and apply gentle pressure while taking deep breaths.
